Morning Group-
I thought that I would create a post for our McGonigal discussion that we will soon be having. So at least now we have somewhere to post and comment to each other. I hope that we will try to use a different type of communication outside of D2L as was highly recommended by Andy.
I hope we can get a better amount of participation with this group activity than the last. I look forward to discussing the student sample that Andy chooses and hope we can help the writer to develop it into something useful for them.

I apologize for the late entry. When looking at the two samples that Andy had posted for us to compare and find out how they could make these into a research project.
When I was looking and comparing these two samples by how they worked out the definition of structure. Sample #3 was looking at the definition of structure quite literal and looking at the words that she used, how she used graphics in the essaym and looking at the different pieces that she put together to make the essay itself.
Sample #4 was somewhat literal as well when it came to structure of McGonigal's essay, because it saw that McGonigals essay was setup with an introduction to what the essay was to accomplish and by the use of quotes from other individuals who share the beliefs of McGonigal. What I found interesting with Sample 4 is how the writer brought in the thought of "Discourse". I would agree with that thought process and comparing the the Interactive gaming world is a "Discourse". How do we make the two of these closer to research essays, would be by bringing in other sources of interactive gaming experts or not even experts, just opinions.
Ok, so what is the deal. No one is posting here neither on the D2L site. Is this a problem?
